Update 0.7.0 - Story, Act 2 map, Winch, Cargo Covers

A pretty hefty update for you guys! Theres a story for the act 1 map, explorable act 2 map, a winch upgrade, items menu with cargo covers, and more. Please remember to fill out the feedback survey once you are done playing! It is linked in the game at the main menu and pause menus. Enjoy <3
CHANGELOG :
STORY :
- Redid most dialogue and added actual story/lore to act 1 map, not just for testing triggers anymore! Still a WIP/open to change, but better represents the final product now. Your thoughts are appreciated!
- Added top secret [REDACTED] cutscene to act 1 story. You will see it after a few hours of playing. "It almost made me tear up. Legit got teary eyed." - Kitkat.
ACT 2 MAP :
- You can now drive from act 1 map to act 2, which is about 30-40% finished. No story here yet.
- Added hydro dam region with lots of elevation changes. Winch upgrade with anchors will make it much easier to traverse.
- Added new models around radiotrician/fishery
- Updated ice strength map around radiotrician to be more difficult
- Added new junk items
UPGRADES/ITEMS (Press V to use items you are holding) :
- Winch (found at Beacon in the second map. Lets you attach to winch anchors to ascend/descend extreme slopes.
- Winch Anchors (sold at Beacon)
- Cargo Covers of various durabilities. (sold at most settlements. Keeps your cargo safe, but limits storage and can break)
- Bombs (sold at fishery). Kinda useless right now, there is a single tunnel where you can clear an ice blockade. Will damage your tank (severely) and send objects flying.
- Added items shop tab to settlements where you can buy these.
- Improved cruise control upgrade (you can press W/S to increase/decrease target speed)
- Added cruise control UI to show target speed
TANK DAMAGE :
- Your tank will now take damage over time, and when you crash into things. You can’t die from this, but it makes your life more difficult when things malfunction. Rust will make it get damaged faster, and paint slows rust.
- Upgrades will also get damaged and malfunction
- Tank can be repaired at any settlement
- Tank menu now has a tab to check the tank’s condition
- Adjusted rust and paint durability
MODELS/MATERIALS/VISUALS :
- Tons of new models imported/added to the world
- New metal material
- New rock material for underground and mountains
- New ice material
- Added painted metal material (not currently seen anywhere)
- Updated fog/bloom billboard around lights to have more accurate depth
- Added power lines with wires
- Made a grid foliage spawner (seen with pipes around oil settlement and I beam towers around radiotrician)
- Improved bridge generators
- Made a river/waterfall generator (modified version of bridge generator)
UI :
- Consolidated "upgrades" and "customization" tabs into a single "shop" tab with multiple sub-tabs.
- Tank menu updated. Radio is now on its own tab.
- Added feedback survey button to main menu and pause menus
- Fixed lots of UI border issues in settlement UI
- Improved speech bubble UI
OTHER :
- Adjusted tank handling
- Tank now rotates by turning treads in opposite directions, no longer a magical force
- Adjusted claw physics
- Improved claw arm spline
- Added some patreon tanks back in (more will be added don't worry)
- Adjusted snow indents
- Adjusted some upgrade prices
- Adjusted some deliveries
- Season is now spring instead of summer, so days will be a bit shorter, and nights a bit longer
- Updated patreon credits to auto generate based on CSVs downloaded from patreon website
- Updated patreon credits to sort each tier by who has donated the most
- Added credits for discord mod team
- Entering or exiting underground now saves the game
- Adjusted ice friction
- Updated weak ice mechanic to allow for different elevations
- Adjusted act 1 terrain in a few places
- Updated ice strength map in act 1 map
- Settlement icons no longer appear on the item scanner until you either learn about them or enter them
- Centered tank better on main menu
- Adjusted weight of junk items
- Adjusted sound effect pitch for object collisions and grabs
- Added code to override the weather for story moments
- Removed the old prototype map, since it was a nightmare to keep up support for it while adding a million new mechanics. Play the “Old Proof of Concept” version on itch.io if you want to see the old map.
- Settlement characters are now a bit more harsh when judging how well you did
- Non-UV street lights are a bit warmer colored on average
- Red spots on weak ice no longer instantly break, instead they break in 3 moves
- You can now enter crater right from the start, don’t need to do the tutorial
- More paint jobs, some colors adjusted
- Added new console commands for patreon build
- Added MacDonald
- Added abominations
- Other stuff I forgor 💀
BUG FIXES :
- Tp to settlement console command no longer breaks when teleporting underground
- Fixed lights not turning on/off depending on time of day
- No more ghost lights around crater
- Moved some lights to proper levels
- Finally set up LODs for environment objects, should help framerate
- Fixed bugs with volume knob on radio
- Radio music will now continue playing even if you click off of the game
- Radio volume now affected by music slider
- Fixed (even more) ice bugs
- Adjusted train bridges, no longer floating in one section of act 1 map
- Fps counter is now averaged, no longer a jittery mess
- Fixed interacting with tank menu stopping movement
- Fixed items glitching up a tiny bit when you drop them
- Fixed bridge support collision being off
- Stuff between turret and bucket will now teleport with you when exiting a settlement
- Fixed radio headphones muffle not getting removed after dying
- Fixed hand brake not turning on when you enter a settlement
- Renamed “Terrain scanner” to “Topographic scanner” in settings menu to match the upgrade’s name
- Fixed bugs with “already deleted” list not working
- Fixed ruined tanks being visible in item scanner
- Fixed empty act 1 settlement having a requested items list, and gave it a name
- Fixed inconsistent UV light colors
- Removed fake GI shadowless point lights from most outdoor UV street lights
